BMW reveals X6 M Sport and X5 special edition

BMW has taken its two largest SUVs and given them special edition treatment, to reveal the  X5 Special Edition and the X6 M Sport Edition.

The X5 gets the M Sport Package that comes with a Dakota leather trim or  and heated seats for the driver and front passenger. There is also the option of an Alcantara/leather combo with M badging for no additional cost. For those wanting a unique colour palette, there are five available colours for the extended Merino leather upholstery to be found int he BMW catalogue.

 

Tinted windows and the Multifunctional Instrument Display are also on offer, although the latter is not available for the plug-in hybrid xDrive40e iPerformance version. All regular X5 can be had in the new Special Edition guise except for the X5 M50d.

The X6 M Sport Edition also the M Sport Package and rides on exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels or a 21-inch set if you prefer. Long Beach Blue metallic paint finish is what BMW have chosen to show off the X6 M Sport SUV but Mineral White or Carbon Black are also options.

The X6 M Sport Edition is available for all versions except the X6 M50d. These special editions will go on sale in Europe in December and at this point we’re not sure if they’ll be coming to South Africa.
