BMW introduces hot X2 M35i
BMW has introduced the top model in its X2 range and it’s called the M35i.
As the name suggests, it’s the hottest X2 by far, but it’s not equipped with a 3.5- or even a 3.0-litre engine.
It’s powered by a 2.0-litre TwinPower turbo engine that delivers 225kW and 450Nm of torque. The engine concealed under an M Performance cover is the very first M Performance four-cylinder engine.
To ensure that this sheer power is securely transferred to the tarmac, the X2 M35i comes as standard with intelligent four-wheel drive technology xDrive in conjunction with the 8-speed Steptronic transmission including Launch Control. The automatic transmission features specific M Performance tuning. Equipped in this way, the BMW X2 M35i is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds.
The exterior features a surround in Cerium Grey for visual differentiation at first glance. Likewise, the surrounds of the air cooling inlets and the exterior mirror caps are finished in Cerium Grey. The rear of the X2 M35i is characterised by the standard M rear spoiler and two specially designed exhaust tailpipes, which also come in Cerium Grey.
The following equipment is offered standard with the BMW X2 M35i:
* BMW ConnectedDrive Services
* Preparation for Apple Car Play
* Intelligent Emergency Calling
* Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI)
* Comfort telephony with wireless charging
* LED Headlights
Pricing for the BMW X2 M35i starts from R809,100.00 (includes 15% VAT). CO2 tax is R6,072.
