The replacement for BMW’s manic X6M has been spotted doing laps at the Nürburgring in Germany.
Not much is known at this stage, except for the fact that it’s going to be properly fast. That much is clear from the video footage below. Just look at the way it manages to stay composed even when the guy behind the steering wheel is obviously pushing it very close to the limit.
The new X6M will likely use the same powertrain as the outgoing model, which is a very good thing. It’s a twin-turbo 4,4-litre V8 with more than 400kW and 680Nm on tap. The previous model accelerated to 100km/h in less than five seconds and there’s no way BMW would introduce a replacement model that’s slower than the car it replaces.
We can’t wait to drive this SUV monster.
