After an eight year hiatus Camp Jeep returns once again to South Africa with the next event taking place from the 2 – 4 October 2015 in the picturesque Drakensberg Mountains.
One of the most looked-forward-to events in the Jeep calendar, Camp Jeep returns for the fourth time to SA soil and promises to offer something for the whole Jeep family.
Camp Jeep will be the largest gathering of Jeep vehicles and is open to all owners and fans of the brand countrywide.
Aside from participating in one of the largest gatherings of Jeep vehicles locally, attendees at this year’s Camp Jeep will have the opportunity to not only view the latest models, but to test their 4×4 vehicle’s abilities on a custom built off-road track as well as participate in the “Jeepkhana” and “Jeep Games”. Attendees will also be able to sample several off-road trails in the vicinity of the venue; catering for drivers with off-road skills from novice all the way up to “hard-core” modified vehicle drivers.
Camp Jeep will also offer owners the opportunity to visit the MOPAR Village where certified Jeep technicians will be on-hand to answer all your Jeep related questions, tyre fitment specialists will be available to offer advice and indeed, the fitment of new tyres, the Fast Lane Service centre will attend to vehicles oil change requirements on site, genuine MOPAR Accessories can be supplied and fitted and finally, Camp Jeep specific stickers and decals can be applied while-you-wait. The MOPAR Village will also be the place to see live bands during the course of the weekend.
In the “Friends of Jeep” arena, numerous stores will be set up allowing Camp Jeep attendees the opportunity to participate in some retain therapy. Jeep and off-road related “Friends” will be offering goods from clothing through to camping equipment, vehicle finance through to insurance, and everything in-between.
The main entertainment area at Camp Jeep overlooks the off-road track and will host the main festivities on the Saturday. Food and beverages, key to keeping active Jeep drivers going throughout the day, will be on sale and a Fan Park has been constructed for ardent Rugby fans to cheer on the Springboks as they play Scotland in the Rugby World Cup. The evening’s festivities will be rounded off by an appearance by Mango Groove, one of South Africa’s foremost bands.
Camp Jeep SA is not only for the grown-ups. The younger fans of the seven slot grille will also be catered for with structured supervision in the Children’s Hub; games and entertainment will be provided. Of course, the younger people are also encouraged to join the parents on the 4×4 tracks and trails.
Accommodation at Camp Jeep SA will be available throughout the area with favorable rates having been negotiated with the local hotels, Bed & Breakfasts and even camping sites in the vicinity of Champagne Sports Resort.
