Last month luxury tuner, Carlex Design, gave us its idea of a Mercedes X-Class and this month it’s introducing the tuned Volkswagen Amarok.
Only 500 will ever be built, with the conversion package costing R220 000 each. That’s a huge chunk of money, so what exactly do you get for that?
Well, they make no upgrades to the engine, so this is purely a cosmetic exercise.
On the inside it gets a reupholstered steering wheel, some quilting and Nappa leather.
The exterior is a bit more rugged and includes protective paint, wheel arch extensions and headlight and taillight frames. Carlex also includes a set of BF Goodrich All-Terrain tyres and a few stickers.
