Chery made good use of the recent Auto Shanghai show to promote its new brand image under the banner New Standard, New Power, New Chery.
The cars on display included two new products, the Arrizo M7 SUV and Tiggo5 1.5T SUV as well as two concept vehicles, the Arrizo 5 and @Ant3, an individualised urban runabout.
Chery also took the opportunity to unveil its iPOWER system, an intelligent power source which integrates traditional and new energy technologies.
Aside from displaying its brand-new products and concept vehicles at Auto Shanghai 2015, Chery also displayed its range of current models, such as Tiggo5, Tiggo3, Arrizo 7, and Arrizo3, in addition to two new-energy car models, the Arrizo7 PHEV (a plug-in hybrid with a 1.6-litre petrol engine and 355 volt lithium-ion battery) and Arrizo3 EV (an electric vehicle with a range of 260km that takes only 30 minutes to charge to 80% of capacity), which all promoted Chery’s advanced technologies.
The growing Arrizo sub-brand is built on Chery’s new iAuto platform which is an updated version of the Chery A3 platform and incorporates Cloudrive telematics, ACTECO powertrains and Cherysma design and quality standards.
Founded on January 8, 1997, Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. is one of the most successful independent Chinese vehicle manufacturers that has grown through independent innovation after China’s reform and the opening up of the economy.
Over the past 16 years since its founding, Chery has adhered to independent innovation, gradually establishing a complete technical and product research and development division while exporting its products to more than 80 countries.
