Chery SA has made some refreshing changes to its Tiggo compact SUV.
The exterior features a more rounded design front and rear, while the all-new 17-inch alloy wheels give it a hint of aggression. LED daytime running lights are also now a standard feature.
Air conditioning, power windows, power steering, electrically-operated exterior mirrors, 60/40 split rear seat backrest for load versatility, an audio system with CD player and MP3/USB jack are all standard fitment, as is central locking with remote keyless entry. Standard safety features include ABS, electronic brake distribution, stability control and Isofix anchors for the rear seats.
The 1,6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine generates 93kW of power and 160Nm of torque. Drive is sent to the front wheels only, via a five-speed manual gearbox.
The new Tiggo retails for R229 900 and comes as standard with a three year/75 000km service plan and a five-year/120 000km warranty.
