We just found another item to add to our list of awesome things we’ll never get in South Africa.
It’s called the Chevrolet Reaper, which may just be the coolest name ever slapped to the side of any car in the history of our planet.
The Reaper is built for people who like driving at high speed over rough terrain. The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor previously dominated this market, mostly because it was the only truck capable of negotiating wastelands at high speed, flattening everything that dare cross its path.
To ensure the Reaper lives up to its name, Chevrolet turned to Lingenfelter and Southern Comfort Automotive.
The result is a restyled Chevrolet Silverado with 20-inch alloy wheels, LED running lights, a racing exhaust, a racing suspension, custom gauge pack and 33-inch off-road tyres.
A supercharger kit for the 6,2-litre Vortec V8 is unfortunately an optional extra. It is, however, an option box we suspect most owners will end up ticking.
After all, how can you order a called call Reaper and not have it supercharged?
