After much teasing, Citroën has finally released the first image of its new DS SUV.
The new model, officially name the DS 6WR, is basically a production version of the beautiful Wild Rubis concept the French manufacturer has been showcasing all over the world. The production version has lost a lot of the Wild Rubis’ wildness, but it’s still a stunner of note.
The 6WR will only be available in front-wheel drive format, but it will come as standard with Grip Control, which is claimed to optimise traction on rough terrain.
A 1,6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, with either 118kW or 147kW on tap, sends power to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.
Citroën is still considering introducing the 6WR to the local market.
