Citroen has revealed its new E-Méhari, which is the production version of the Concept M from a few months ago.
The front is obviously from a Cactus, but the rest is all-new. The plastic body has seating for four, while the roof can be removed to turn it into a convertible. The seats are also covered in plastic to make them waterproof, in case you don’t have enough time to put the roof up when it starts raining.
It will only be available with an electric motor with 50kW, which is enough to get it to a top-speed of 110km/h. The claimed range is 200km.
Unfortunately, it’s highly unlikely we’ll ever see the E-Méhari in SA, as electric cars haven’t really caught on here yet.
