The Nissan Qashqai has been updated and this facelifted version has been revealed at the Geneva Motor Show. The new Qashqai sports a completely revised front end, with a reshaped bonnet and revised front bumper. The front light clusters have also been tweaked.
The changes at the back are less obvious but the rear lights get a refreshed ‘boomerang’ light motif with a 3D lens effect.
The 2018 Qashqai also features Nissan’s semi-autonomous ProPilot technology, which enables the car to steer, accelerate and decelerate itself when travelling in a single lane on highways.
The suspension, damping and steering systems have been improved to deliver “a more refined driving experience”. The thickness of the rear glass has increased and this together with better insulation materials have reduced the NVH levels.
Inside the cabin the materials are including higher-quality than before and the dashboard layout has been improved. The infotainment system has a new user interface and an optional Bose seven-speaker audio system is available too.
The engine range remains the same as on the current model.
Nissan’s active safety range on the new Qashqai now has an Intelligent Emergency Braking system that features Pedestrian Recognition and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
