The facelifted Mazda BT-50 bakkie has arrived in South Africa with five double-cab models to choose from.
The new BT-50 has a newly designed front face, redesigned side steps, updated rear lamps and 17-inch aluminum wheels.
The interior of all models has also been updated with the addition of Bluetooth, buttons on the steering wheel and cruise control.
The range starts with the 2.2L DE SLX 4×2 at R441 600 and the range topping model, the Mazda BT-50 3.2L DE SLE 4×4 goes for R555 700.
The SLE models (all models except the entry level SLX) gain a rear-view camera, an auto diming mirror and electrical driver seat adjustment.
The 4×2 Mazda BT-50 bakkies are all fitted with the same 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine that puts out 147kW and 470Nm as previously. The 4×4 bakkis also carry over the 3.2-litre five-cylinder turbodiesel (147kW and 470 Nm).
The BT-50 double- cab bakkie is available in the following derivatives: 2.2L 4×2 6MT SLE, 3.2L 4×4 6MT SLE and 3.2L 4×4 6AT SLE as well as new model derivatives 2.2L 4×2 6MT SLX and 2.2L 4×2 6AT SLE.
Produced and fully imported from the Auto Alliance (Thailand), the seven exterior colour options are: True Red, Aluminum Metallic, Cool White, Jet Black, Deep Crystal Blue, Blue Reflex and Titanium Flash.
