Fiat Brazil has released the first images of its new Toro double-cab.
Not much is known about the car at this stage, but rumours suggest that it is built on the Jeep Renegade platform.
It will be offered with the choice of a 1,8-litre E-Torq engine, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and a two-wheel drive setup, or a 2,0-litre turbocharged diesel with a six-speed manual in both 4×2 and 4×4 layout.
In terms of interior comfort, higher specification models are equipped with Jeep’s Uconnect system, but a host of luxuries are also available.
It’s not yet clear whether this bakkie will be introduced locally, but it would be an interesting alternative to all the other bakkies headed our way shortly.
