Fiat South Africa is set to expand its local line-up of Fullback bakkies from three derivatives up to five.
The new derivative include, ‘a new automatic-equipped variant taking its place at the summit of the range,’ says Car magazine.
Kitted out in the brand’s LX trim level, the new flagship double-cab 4×4 bakkie will be the first model in the local line-up with five-speed automatic transmission. It’s fitted with a 2.4-litre engine that produces 113 kW of power and 380Nm of torque, which is less than the manual, 4×4 2.5-litre turbodiesel model (131 kW and 400Nm).
A new single-cab manual derivative will also be added to the line-up. This bakkie shares the same 2.5 Di-D engine with the 4×2 double-cab SX, which produces 100 kW and 324Nm.
