While working our way through the Buyers Guide for the next edition, we noticed that a new model was added to the Fullback line-up.

It’s a 4×2 double cab, equipped with a 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine, mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox. It’s the same engine as used in the Mitsubishi Triton and it generates 133kW and 430Nm of torque. Unlike the Triton, which uses a six-speed automatic gearbox, the Fullback is equipped with a five-speed automatic.
According to our guide, the 4×2 automatic retails for R500 268, but Fiat SA is currently running a special on the GLS Auto, which takes the price down to R440 900.
