Mazda has released a teaser image of its all-new CX-9, which will make its international debut at the LA Motor Show later this month.
As the name suggests, it will be Mazda’s largest SUV to date. It will have three rows of seats, which means it will eventually go head-to-head with BMW’s X5 and Mercedes’ GLE.
Though no engine details are available yet, there are rumours that suggest that the ageing 3,7-litre V6 powertrain used in the US will be replaced by a more frugal turbocharged 2,5-litre four-cylinder petrol.
Nothing has been confirmed, but we doubt the CX-9 will be offered locally.
