Ford has introduced the all-new B-Max to the SA market.
It’s basically the smallest MPV you can buy in SA and it comes with a unique door arrangement. The front doors are the usual hinged affairs like any other car, but the rear doors slide open like they do on a kombi.
Ford says this delivers new levels of convenience and clear aperture of 1,5 metres wide, which makes it a lot easier to load and unload kids and shopping.
The flexible seating system features 60/40 split rear seats that can be folded flat with a simple “one-hand, one-motion” mechanism. The front passenger seat can also be folded, creating an extensive flat load floor from front to rear. With seven different seat-folding combinations, and an adjustable luggage compartment floor, the B-Max is equipped for all kinds of cargo.
All models are powered by Ford’s award-winning 1,0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine and all models claim to use fuel at a rate of around 5,0l/100km.
Comfort features on the top models include an exclusive Sony audio system, keyless entry, Ford Power Start Button, Ford MyKey functionality, rear view camera and leather-trimmed upholstery on the range-topping model.
The B-Max is sold with a 4-year/120 000km Comprehensive Warranty, 4-year/60 000km Service Plan, 3-year/unlimited km Roadside Assistance and 5-year/unlimited km Corrosion Warranty. Service intervals are every 20 000km.
