Ford taking six modded Rangers to SEMA

Ford will be hitting the SEMA show hard this year and not with the models you’d usually expect to see there.

Normally Ford uses the SEMA show to showcase the Mustang, but this year it’s taking a grand total of six Rangers.

It recently unveiled the first concept art, as well as some photographs of these models.

First up is the Hellwig Ranger, which is aimed at 4×4 enthusiasts who also like to leave a minimal environmental footprint.

The RTR Rambler Ranger is more of the same, but built for snowy conditions.

The Ford Performance Parts Ranger features a retro wrap, tyres from the Ranger Raptor, canopy, recovery boards and a refrigerator.

The Yakima Ranger is a bit more special, as it actually includes some performance parts, including a cat-back system and an air suspension.

Finally, there’s the Advanced Accessory Concepts Ranger. It features most of the kit mentioned above, as well as a 2.3-litre EcoBoost four-cylinder turbocharged petrol with Roush Performance parts.

Though we don’t have any details on power output, the six-piston brakes and 14-inch discs suggest that it’s going to be one insane machine.

We’ll give you a full report on these Rangers when they make their debut at SEMA.
