Ford has released the first round of “official” spy images and video of the upcoming Mustang all-electric crossover.
Obviously, it’s impossible to comment on the styling, since the prototype is still heavily camouflaged. To see the crossover Mustang in all its glory, we’ll have to wait for the LA Motor Show later this year.
We do, however, have some new information regarding the powertrain.
It will be an electric vehicle, with a range of around 480km.
Ford will have to work very hard to capture the essence of the Mustang, especially since the iconic V8 has been dropped in favour of an electric motor. But, as you can see in the video below, it doesn’t appear to be slow.
Ford hasn’t said anything about the crossover Mustang coming to South Africa yet, but we’ll update its response as soon as we have it.
