GWM SA has included a new entry-level model to its H5 SUV range.
The new model is called the H5 City and it costs R244 900.
On the outside the H5 looks the same as the rest of the line-up. It rides on the same ladder-frame chassis and has a ground clearance rated at 200mm, which should make it more suitable on gravel than most compact crossovers retailing at the same price.
The City is powered by GWM’s proven 2,4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with 100kW and 200Nm on tap. Drive is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. A fuel consumption figure of 10,3 l/100km is claimed.
The standard features list includes; climate control, radio/CD with USB/aux support, front and rear fog lamps, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Isofix rear child seat anchorages, electric windows all-round, electrically adjustable side mirrors, rake-adjustable steering wheel and remote central locking.
The H5 City is backed by a comprehensive five-year/100 000 km warranty and comes standard with two-year/24-hour AA roadside assistance.
