OSVehicle (part of the Renault Twizy open source project) has released images of the ‘EDIT’, the first open sourced, modular self-driving car. This car, although largely boring to look at, boasts incredible functionality with both the inside and outside of The ‘EDIT’ completely customisable.
The modular technology allows key components, such as the electric motor, battery pack and cargo space to be swapped out with ease.
The EDIT was built in partnership with Camal, a design and 3D modelling firm from Turin Italy and the concept is aimed at will be available for companies looking for customised electric vehicles. There are no details about price yet.
