It’s official, folks. Hummer is making a comeback and this time around its range won’t consist of gas guzzlers.
General Motors is using the famed badge on its all-new electric pick up, which will be put on sale in 2021. The battle of the electric bakkies has just been dialled up another notch.
Nothing official has been released yet, except for the information you can see in the teaser video below.
The Hummer electric pick up will pack a 746kW punch, which is mighty impressive. Even more impressive is the claimed 15 574Nm of torque, as seen in the video. We suspect someone entered one zero extra while editing because 1500Nm is already plenty enough. It will be able to get to 100km/h in just over three seconds.
More details will emerge early in March when GM plans to run a commercial during the famous Super Bowl in The USA.
Since GM no longer operates in South Africa, it’s highly unlikely we’ll ever get the new Hummer here.
