While we’re extremely excited about it, we’re even more excited about the South Korean brand’s upcoming ladder-frame bakkie, set to go up against the Hilux, Ranger and Amarok.

We can’t tell you much about it, other than the fact that Hyundai officials in Australia confirmed that it is coming.

The images you see here are digital renderings made by a designer in the Philippines. He’s called Enoch Gabriel Gonzales, and it’s fairly obvious that his inspiration comes from Hyundai’s current design language.

We have to say, it’s a rather handsome bakkie. Even the base model with black bumpers and steel wheels has a certain charm to it.
