While completing the Buyers Guide for the next magazine, we came across a brand-new bakkie that quietly entered the South African market.
It’s made by JAC and it’s called the T8.
Two models are available, both powered by the same 1.9-litre turbocharged diesel engine. It delivers 100kW and 320Nm of torque. The 4×2 retails for R339 900, while the 4×4 model retails for R399 900. A five-year/150 000km warranty and five-year/60 000km service plan are included in the price.
Standard trim includes a touch-screen interface, Xenon headlights, air-conditioning and central locking.
