Jeep recently stated that the US based company would introduce a larger model to slot in above the Grand Cherokee.
In an interview with www.autocar.co.uk, CEO, Mike Manley, stated that there is an open slot above the Grand Cherokee, especially in the US, China and the Middle East.
Manley also revealed that the larger model would use the Grand Wagoneer moniker, which may indicate which design direction the company will take while designing it. Perhaps a modern interpretation of the old Wagoneer design?
The Grand Wagoneer is unlikely to go on sale in SA as Jeep’s last big SUV attempt in this country, the Commander (pictured above next to the last Wagoneer model), was a massive flop.
