Jeep will officially unveil its Yuntu concept at the Shanghai Auto Show on Wednesday, but here are the official teaser sketches in the meantime.
The three-row SUV has a futuristic yet recognisably Jeep exterior design while remaining still having that rugged SUV edge.
Sleek mirrors, flush door handles,a raked windscreen and a rather flat roof with black roof rails all work together to produce an attractive and streamlined design.
In the front, slender LED headlights flank the seven-slot grille and below that is aluminum underbody protection, while the side profiles shows plastic boddy cladding and familiar square wheel arches. The chunky over-sized off-road tyres give the car an aggressive look that juxtaposes the sleek design.
“PHEV” lettering on the front doors indicates the concept will boast a plug-in hybrid powertrain but no technical specifiations have been made available yet.
