JMC SA recently launched its new Vigus double-cab bakkie in SA.
The Vigus is available in eight derivatives, all of which comes with a manual transmission. It’s also available in 4×2 and 4×4 guises, with both petrol and diesel powertrains.
The diesel uses a 2,4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder, which delivers 90kW and 290Nm of torque, while the petrol (also a 2,4-litre four-cylinder) produces 100kW and 201Nm of torque.
JMC claims an average fuel consumption figure of 8,0 l/100km for the diesel and 9,0 l/100km for the petrol.
Pricing for this new bakkie ranges from R274 990 for the entry-level petrol LX to R379 990 for the top-of-the-range 4×4 SLX diesel.
The Vigus is covered by a 3 year 100 000 factory warranty. It also comes standard with a five-year/60,000km service plan.
