Audi boss Rupert Stadler has told Autocar that the Lamborghini Urus will be released in 2018 if everything goes according to plan.
It was originally reported that the Urus would come out in 2016. This was then pushed back to 2017. Now, though, it seems as if we’ll finally see it in 2018.
The concept vehicle was first unveiled in 2012, and according to Stadler, the production vehicle will stay close to the concept version in terms of design. Stadler also told Autocar that it “won’t be a softie.”
The Urus will be based on the same platform as the next-generation Q7, and Stadler also hinted at the possibility that Audi might be considering a Q8 to slot in above the next Q7.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
