Back in 2012 at the Beijing Motor Show, Lamborghini unveiled a concept SUV named the Urus.
While it still hasn’t been given the go-ahead for production, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann has said that if the Urus were to be built it would be done outside of Italy as the production capacity at the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory might not be sufficient.
Winkelmann has also said that Lamborghini’s sales are likely to double if production of the Urus got approved for 2017 as it is a very credible car but it requires a massive investment and there is still much uncertainty of its viability.
