Land Rover has finally released some information on the highly anticipated Range Rover Sport SVR, or RS as we’ve been referring to it up to this point.
It was designed to be the fastest Range Rover ever and it will reach the market sometime in 2015. The SVR badge will also be used to designate performance versions of Land Rover’s products from now on.
While the model in the supplied press photographs is still heavily disguised, Land Rover was willing to reveal the power specifications. Its supercharged 5,0-litre V8 petrol will produce 405kW and 680Nm of torque and it will be able to accelerate to 100km/h in less than five seconds.
At the moment it’s not clear if this model will be heading to SA.
