Land Rover to open new plant in Slovakia

Land Rover has revealed its plan to open a new factory in Slovakia.

The factory will be located in Nitra and the first cars are set to roll off the floor in 2018.

Jaguar Land Rover states that multiple models will be built there, but there’s a good chance that the all-new Defender will also be built in the same factory. The 2018 factory opening coincides nicely with the speculated release date of the new Defender and previous report have indicated that it will be built somewhere in Europe.

The Defender concept, which was first revealed more than a year ago, can be viewed above.
