Lexus has introduced a new 2,0-litre turbocharged engine to its NX line-up.
The NX, which is Lexus’ first attempt at building a mid-size SUV, will arrive in SA later this year.
It has done well in Europe so far with more than 1 000 sales since its introduction there late last year. Until now, it was only available in 300h hybrid guise.
The 2,0-litre turbo delivers 175kW and 350Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed automatic with a drive mode select system.
Lexus claims this engine will consume only 6,0 l/100 km on the combined cycle.
The full details on this new SUV will be available at its local launch.
