Volvo seems intent on grabbing all the attention at the Geneva Motor Show next month, as it will not only showcase the last in a series of new concepts, but also a host of limited edition models based on cars in its current line-up.
The XC70 and V70 limited editions will be called Edition, while the V40, V40 Cross Country, XC60 and V60 limited editions will be called the Volvo Ocean Race Editions.
The V70 and XC70 Edition models receive some minor exterior upgrades, including gloss black trim in a few select places and a set of 17-inch high-gloss black wheels. On the inside, these models come as standard with black leather upholstery with cream stitching.
The Ocean Race Editions are meant to serve as a nice tie-up with Volvo’s Ocean Race sponsorship. These models feature logos on the tread plates and front fenders. On the inside you can specify either black or white leather with orange stitching.
Volvo’s 60 Series cars also have a map of the race on the rear load cover.
These models are expected to go on sale in Europe in a few months, but we doubt they’ll ever go on sale in SA.
