Lotus has revealed a few minor details about its new crossover, which will only be launched in 2019.
It seems the company isn’t holding back, because it has named the Porsche Macan as its main rival. Its ceo, Jean Marc Gales, also stated that it’s going to be better than the German vehicle.
Lotus will be sticking to its lightweight formula to build a faster, more nimble car than the Macan. It’s still too soon to know for sure, but Gales has stated that the Lotus crossover will be around 200kg lighter than the Macan.
Engines will include petrol and hybrid options, while there’s also a rumour of the first ever diesel powered Lotus.
