The current Ford F150 is on its way out the door, but it’s not dead yet.
Thanks to the famous US based tuning firm, Shelby, the F150 Raptor will have one last chance to enthrall its massive audience. And what an audience it has…
The standard F150 remains the US’s best selling truck and in Raptor specification it spends an average of 14 days on the showroom floor.
Now, the Raptor is already a beast of a car as anyone with connection to YouTube will tell you, but the Shelby Raptor is something else entirely.
For 2014, Shelby has released a new Raptor with a supercharged V8 delivering 430kw of power. A Shelby Stinger exhaust, intercooler, boost gauge, fuel pressure gauge and custom leather interior are also included as standard.
From there on it’s up to the owner to decide what he/she wants in or on their Raptor.
Shelby has a list of what it calls Xtreme options. The list includes, among other things, an upgraded intercooler, a Shelby Venom front bumper, LED lights, power running boards and a Shelby Museum delivery experience.
