Mercedes Benz has finally released the details of its BMW X6M rival, the GLE63 AMG S Coupe.
As you’d expect, the AMG variant of the GLE includes all the usual AMG exterior fittings, including LED lights, four tailpipes and massive 22-inch alloy wheels.
On the inside it’s equipped with nappa leather seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel and carbon fibre inserts.
Naturally, an AMG is nothing without massive power and it seems as if the GLE AMG won’t disappoint.
It’s powered by a 5,5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with 430kW and 760Nm on tap. Power is fed to all four wheels via an AMG Speedshift seven-speed transmission. According to Mercedes, the all-wheel drive system is biased towards the rear, which should make for an interesting driving experience.
Mercedes also states that the GLE AMG is able to sprint to 100km/h in 4,2 seconds.
