Mercedes Japan is launching the Mercedes-AMG G63 50th Anniversary Edition to celebrate AMG’s half century in business.
The limited run is made up of 50 units that are all coated in Mauritius Blue metallic paint. The roof, bumpers, fenders, mirrors and side trim are gloss black to add contrast and 20-inch AMG five-spoke wheels extend the dark look.
Inside an AMG Carbon Fiber trim package will add a sporty edge and four two-tone shades of Mercedes’ Designo leather with diamond stitching will be on offer. The company will build 24 units with Porcelain white, 15 in black, 6 in Mocha Brown, and 5 in Saddle Brown.
Power comes from a 5.5-liter biturbo V8 that produces 420kW and 761Nm, with the engine mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV can reach 97 kilometers per hour in 5.3 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 209kph.
