Camper vans are big business in Europe, which means there’s no shortage of conversions you can buy over there.
A German manufacturer called Matzker recently unveiled their all-new overland camper, based on the Mercedes X-Class.
As you can see from the outside, the rear seats have been removed and replaced with a custom-built camper. It has a bed, small kitchen and basically everything else you need for a long overland trip. The only thing it doesn’t have is a toilet.
To compensate for the added weight, Matzker added some ride height. Interestingly, a rear locking differential is also included as standard.
A top-of-the-line camper will costs somewhere in the region of R2.9 million.
