Mitsubishi has tweaked its range-topping ASX model, the ASX GLS CVT derivative. The updates include some cosmetic changes, some new features in the cabin, as well as the introduction of an updated continual variable transmission.
The front of the ASX GLS gets a new front grille design with some added chrome, a new bumper design “with a sporty honeycomb pattern above the lower spoiler”, and LED daylight running lights.
The rear of the vehicle also gets an updated bumper with some carbon fibre inserts, some chrome detailing, a rear diffuser and LED rear fog lamp.
Inside, cosmetic changes include a redesigned centre console featuring two USB ports and a mobile phone tray with removable padded liner. The CVT shift lever has been redesigned and the seats gain some red stitching.
Mitsubishi ASX GLS CVT retains its four-cylinder 2.0-litre petrol engine, but it is now mated to the updated CVT with a “six-step Sports Mode”.
Lastly, new 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels distinguish the GLS from the rest of the range.
The good news is that the price of the ASX GLS CVT remains the same as before, despite all the additions.
