Mitsubishi ASX receives facelift for 2015

by Leisure Wheels

22 January 2015

Mitsubishi SA has revamped the ASX for 2015.

Every model in the range receives new roof rails, chrome highlights on the exterior and interior and tinted windows. GLX and GLS derivatives come with new LED daytime running lights and new 17-inch alloy wheels.

All models are powered by Mitsubishi’s 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. It produces 110 kW at 6 000 rpm and 197 Nm at 4 200 rpm.

All derivatives are front-wheel drive, three of which feature a five-speed manual gearbox, alongside the two range-topping GLS automatic models, which feature a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), which has the ability to simulate a six-speed automatic gearbox.

Mitsubishi claims an average fuel consumption of 7,5 l/100km for manual derivatives, while the CVT uses 100ml less on the combined cycle. A 63-litre fuel tank ensures long driving ranges – around 800 km on typical mixed driving.

All derivatives in the Mitsubishi ASX range come standard with a 3-year/ 100 000 km warranty and a 5-year/ 90 000 km service plan, linked to service intervals of 15 000 km.
