Mitsubishi has unveiled its new MPV that will debut at the Indonesia International Auto Show that takes place from 10 – 20 August 2017.
The vehicle was previously referred to as ‘Expander’, however the official name is yet to be revealed. For now the automaker is referring to the vehicle as the ‘Next-Generation MPV’, while its official moniker will be revealed next month at the auto show.
The front of the MPV looks very much like that of Mitsubishi’s XM Crossover which it unveiled at last year’s Indonesia Auto Show and like the eX concept that was unveiled in late 2015.
The brand describes the three-row ‘Next-Generation’ MPV as a combination of “SUV toughness with MPV roominess”.
The MPV will be powered by a is a 1.5-liter petrol engine that can be mated to a choice of manual or an auto transmission.
THe only comment that Mitsubishi have made about the interior so far is that it “provides plenty of room and generous head clearance for all passengers”, but from the image above we can see an infotainment system fitting snuggly in the centre console, rotary controls for the climate control and a two-tone dashboard.
The vehicle will be manufactured at the company’s new Indonesian factory in the Bekasi Prefecture of the West Java Province.
