Mitsubishi has revealed the Mitsubishi XR-PHEV II concept vehicle ahead of its official debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
As the name suggests, it is an updated version of the XR-PHEV, which the company first unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, and has been showcasing at motor shows ever since.
The aggressive design of the XR-PHEV has been toned down slightly, with the vehicle definitely looking closer to production. That said, it is still an eye-catching concept with attractive proportions and an outlandish rear.
The interior also seems closer to production-ready than that of the original XR-PHEV. It’s still very futuristic, but not as spaceship-like as that of the previous version.
Under the bonnet, the XR-PHEV II is apparently powered by a normal combustion engine, as well as a 163 horsepower electric motor.
The Mitsubishi XR-PHEV II will debut at the Geneva Motor Show on 3 March.
