Moto Guzzi have built a proper adventure motorcycle and it is now available in South Africa.
The V85 will not only introduce a new style of bike to Moto Guzzi fans in South Africa, but it also introduces a brand-new 853 cc V-twin engine and a new technical platform to the brand.
The V85 TT is a travelling version of the trail bike that builds on the company’s history of building very popular touring bikes and its racing legacy with the V65 and V75 Baja bikes in the Paris Dakar races of the 1980s.
To celebrate its legacy and the spirit of adventure, Moto Guzzi has partnered with Ewan McGreggor, a well-known enduro bike rider and actor, who will act as brand ambassador for the brand and the V85 specifically.

About Moto Guzzi
Moto Guzzi first started building bikes in 1921, which means that in little more than a year they will be 100 years old.
In 2004, the company became part of the Piaggio Group, which is home to fellow brands Aprilia, Gilera and Vespa, to name a few.
All Moto Guzzi bikes are still hand-built, and it is the oldest European motorcycle manufacturer with continuous production.
All Moto Guzzi motorcycles are known for their transverse mounted V2 engines and the V85 is no exception.
Italian Motorcycle Importers (IMI) is the official distributor of Moto Guzzi and Aprilia in South Africa. As the official distributor, it is fully equipped to sell and service these motorcycles and it will support current owners with any servicing and warranty requirements. With the goal of creating an emporium for all things Italian, IMI not only sell these brands, but also sells and supports brands such as Stylmartin, Italy’s famous maker of motorcycle shoes, Super Veloce, the maker of very exclusive hand-built coffee machines, and it is partner to Cafè Mauro, slow-roasted Italian coffee.
