Nissan has just updated its new Navara with a few new features. These include increasing the load-carrying capacity so that this bakkie can carry up to 1 002kg, depending on the specification level, and it can tow a braked trailer of up to 3 500kg.
The front seats have been tweaked with the addition of a new ‘spinal channel’ in high-density foam, which is designed to distribute body pressure on the seat surface. According to Nissan, these seats have been proven to ‘reduce fatigue significantly’ during long road-trips.
Other changes include larger doors to make getting in and out of the cabin easier and the rear legroom has been increased too. The standard on-board navigation system has 3D mapping with live traffic updates, USB connectivity, Bluetooth audio streaming, and you can play an array of audio and video formats.
The new Navara, which is priced from R518 900 to R587 900, comes with a mechanical warranty of six years/150,000km and a comprehensive service plan of three years/90,000km.
