Next-gen XC90 will let you sleep while it drives

Volvo will be taking autonomous driving to the next level with the introduction of the all-new XC90 in 2021.

It will be built at Volvo’s brand-new facility in the States and it will feature level four autonomous driving features. It will be able to drive completely unassisted at speeds of up to 130km/h on the highway. It will also be able to complete journeys all on its own, which means the passengers can get some sleep while the car drives along.

The system won’t be cheap, however, with Volvo’s head of research and development suggesting “four figures.” And that’s in a currency much stronger than ours.
