Nissan has revealed a few details of the European specification NP300 Navara.
It looks exactly the same as the Asia specification models, which is not a bad thing.
The most important differences between the new Navara and the old one are to be found underneath that handsome body.
Nissan has designed a new five-link rear suspension for the double-cab to provide a crossover-like driving experience. This new suspension setup is also 20kg lighter than in the current model, which is good for performance and fuel economy.
There’s also an all-new 2,3-litre turbocharged diesel engine, which is available in 117kW and 140kW guise. Nissan says this new powertrain is 24% lighter on fuel than the model it replaces.
Both two-wheel and four-wheel drive models will be available, with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic gearbox.
More details will become available once the new Navara makes its debut on 15 September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
