Opel recently revealed its compact crossover contender, the Adam Rocks.
The Rocks is bigger than the Adam hatch it’s based on and it comes with a number of pseudo off-roader additions to make it more aggressive visually. These include an uprated suspension, larger alloy wheels and anthracite finish on the bumpers and side sills.
The Adam Rocks also has an electric sliding canvas roof, effectively making it the world’s only off-road cabriolet. The roof can be stowed in around five seconds with a minimal loss in luggage space.
Opel will offer the car with a wide range of small capacity turbocharged engines, which all offer nippy performance and impressive fuel consumption figures.
It’s set to make its debut at the Geneva Show next month, with production starting in Germany in August.
