The French newspaper l’Equipe is reporting that Peugeot might be retuning to the Dakar Rally in 2015.
The report suggests that the vehicle manufacturer will be heading to the Dakar in a rear-wheel-drive vehicle sponsored by energy drink manufacturer Red Bull.
No oficial statement has been made, which means that this might just be a rumour, but the fact that a French newspaper is reporting the story gives one hope that it might be true. The company’s return to the Dakar Rally after a 25-year absence will no doubt excite fans who still remember the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 from the mid-1980s (pictured above).
