Porsche introduces four pot Macan

Porsche has introduced an entry-level model to its Macan range, powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine.

A Porsche with a four-cylinder might seem ridiculous, but remember how skeptical the world was when the German brand introduced its first diesel? And look how well that worked out for them…

The four-pot turbo produces a healthy 190kW and 370Nm of torque, which enables it to sprint to 100km/h in 6.1 seconds and a top-speed of 228km/h. Not blistering, but quick enough for most.

Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like it’s going to be introduced locally, as Porsche’s official website states that this model is not available in South Africa.
