Porsche has released a new two-litre four-cylinder petrol mill for the Macan.
This might seem like a rather diminutive and unimpressive mill for a sporty SUV such as the Macan, but according to Porsche, the powerplant is quite an impressive performer. The engine develops a healthy 177 kW of power and 350 Nm of torque, which is enough to get the Macan from 0 – 100 km/h in as little as 6,9 seconds. Claimed fuel consumption is around 7,5 litres per 100km.
We’ll have to wait and see if the four-cylinder engine is made available in South Africa.
